In-Home Childcare Services is a gap service for families who do not meet the criteria for mainstream childcare.
If you are experienced working with children in the family home than this is the role for you.
We are currently looking for a dedicated Educator, to support a family in Kiama.
Hours: Rotating rosters but generally Monday to Friday between 8am and 11.30pm. You may be required to work some weekends
Number of children: 3 (ages - 4,8 & 11)
Current Australian Driver's Licence required for school pick up and drop off
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check.
Current First Aid (including Asthma & Anaphylaxis training) & CPR certificate.
Have an ABN or willing to obtain it.
Prepared to work day, night, weekend and split shifts (ie 6am to 9am & 3pm to 8pm)
Experienced in working with children with behavioural &/or a disability.
Understanding of duty of care and other legislative requirements.
Willing to work independently and flexible times.
Hold a current Australian driver's licence and be able to use your own reliable vehicle
Demonstrated effective communication skills whilst maintaining confidentiality
Experienced in Early Childhood Education and Care & School Age Education and Care, Individual Support, Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Cert IV in Disability, or other community related qualification.
Minimum 6 months to 1 year experience working with children
Able to work with families with a culturally and linguistic diverse background
Understanding of EYLF (Early Years Learning Framework)
Minimum 2 work related referees.
Certificate III in Children's Services/Certificate in Disability Services or working towards a related a qualification in early childhood
