We are seeking a well experienced and highly motivated individual with initiative and preparedness to accept responsibility to support the General Manager. Demonstrated success of at least 5 years in hands on management of a station (largely dorper sheep along with cattle) and livestock industry.
Experience in infrastructure development and maintenance (fencing, watering, etc), equipment operation and possess excellent mechanical skills.
Demonstrated experience and skills in animal husbandry (sheep and cattle)
Effective operation and maintenance of machinery and a good working knowledge of day to day station duties, including water infrastructure, fencing and general maintenance
Ability to be flexible and assist where and when required across other NSW/SA operations
Excellent intrapersonal and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated high degree of honesty and openness in all interactions with management, staff and external stakeholders
Literacy and numeracy (eg provision of weekly and monthly activity reports using computer generated templates)
Desirable Criteria include:
Motor bike license
Experience in operating heavy machinery, eg Graders, Loaders etc
Relevant tertiary qualifications
Employment and Special Conditions
National Criminal History clearance (no older than 6 months)
Hold a current unrestricted driver's license
Have own vehicle – preferably a 4WD/Utility
Must be prepared to enter into a performance agreement
Successful applicant may be required to undergo psychometric testing before an offer being made
