Founded in 1976 The NSW Family Day Care Association Inc. (NSWFDCA) t/as NSW Nanny Services is a not for profit organisation governed by a Board of Management.
Appointed by the Federal Government, as the preferred provider for the Nanny Pilot Programme in NSW and ACT, we are currently recruiting Nannies to support families across both states.
We are looking for Nannies with a wide range of experience and qualifications but more importantly, caring and compassionate Nannies who are willing to work different shifts such as:
Before and after school care - 6/7am to 9am & 2.3/3.00pm up to 8pm.
Vacation care - 6am to 6pm approximately.
Rotating rosters - rosters will be provided in advance on a fortnightly basis.
8 to 10 hours shifts - these are mostly during business hours.
Other small shifts & sleepovers available.
Minimum 12 months experience working with children 0-13 years.
Must be 18 years old or older.
Must have the right to work in Australia.
Be reliable, trustworthy, honest and have a passion for children and families.
Be proficient in written and spoken English.
Great organisational and time management skills.
Ability to maintain a smoke/alcohol/illegal substances free environment at all times.
Well developed interpersonal, oral and written skills whilst maintaining confidentiality.
Demonstrated effective communication skills whilst maintaining confidentiality.
Ability to create learning opportunities for children.
A warm, caring, nurturing personality, physically fit and highly energetic.
Understanding of EYLF (Early Years Learning Framework).
Current Working with Children Check & Criminal Record Check.
Current 1st Aid & CPR including asthma & anaphylaxis.
Willing to work independently and different shifts including day, night, sleepovers, weekend, rotating rosters and split shifts.
Minimum 2 work related referees required
Provide care for children in their own home.
Responsible for all tasks related to the development and care of the children.
Prepare balanced and healthy meals/snacks and ensure children's routines are not disrupted.
Implement children’s activities which will stimulate their physical and mental development.
Ensure safety of the children at all times including during excursion times.
Take the children to/from school, appointments and other activities.
Help children with their homework and tidy up children’s bedrooms/play areas.
Keep parents informed on a daily basis of the children’s development and achievements at the end of each shift.
Inform the parents immediately of any accidents/incidents (however minor) and complete accident/incident forms as soon as possible.
Ensure that all paperwork (ie timesheets, excursion forms, medication forms) is completed and processed in a professional and timely manner as required by the NSW Nanny Services.
