Chief Marketing Officer
A disruptive, online start-up that has recently been making the news for its ground-breaking and innovative work. Having recently launched into the retail market and are poised for significant growth, we are looking for a world-class and ambitious Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead the marketing efforts of the business. You will have the enviable opportunity of joining a group of impressive and passionate entrepreneurs at this exciting initial stage at an executive leadership position.
As CMO, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of all marketing and advertising initiatives. Reporting directly to the CEO, your primary responsibility is to generate revenue but increasing sales through successful marketing for the entire organisation using; marketing research, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising and public relations.
Being in the unique position of CMO of an online start-up, you will be responsible for the development of all aspects of marketing and advertising strategy - including anything from defining the target market and the brand value, to strategic content and digital strategy, to overseeing and evaluating implementation.
Development and implementation of Marketing targets and strategies including;
Definition of target market, message and value proposition.
Defining the brand value and customer-messaging matrix
Test and optimise all channels with strategic content strategy and campaign series design
Building customer lifecycle blueprint
Strategic marketing with a focus on brand development and vision
Continual brand awareness and customer community development.
Practically applying core marketing concepts so they translate into business goals
Facilitate growth, sales and marketing strategies
Prepare overall marketing strategy
Management of budgets
Leverage data and analytics to drive insights
Modify or redirect business intelligence strategy
Develop segmentation, competitive analysis/market intelligence, prospecting, lead generation, product & market development, pricing, promotions, communications, budgets, strategic planning, revenue retention and growth.
Develop and measure key metrics around the business including user acquisition, conversion rates, engagement rates, satisfaction and renewal rates.
Effectively lead the team through the start-up growth and transition phase to facilitate and implement any necessary restructures
Oversee, direct and support the efforts of the marketing team.
A digital enthusiast who is heavily active on digital platforms and is always up to speed on the latest digital marketing developments
You work and think on a strategic level, to come up with ideas and solutions that will step-change the engagement and performance of our channels and wider business.

Proven track record in building a brand and business with large potential
Proven track record of delivering outstanding execution across the whole marketing funnel with big data, analytics, and delivery as fundamentals
Proven track record in stakeholder management, with the maturity and influence to lead in a performance culture driven small business.
