Are you an experienced qualified mechanic?

We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Plant and Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team! You will contribute to the delivery of quality mechanical support services to customers and their assets, including plant, equipment, transport and buildings in a commercially competitive environment.

You must be physically capable of undertaking the duties associated with this role, and be available to work flexible hours including shift work and on-call for emergency and programmed maintenance. You will also be willing to participate in continuous learning to maintain knowledge and skills of current mechanical technology, equipment operation and industry best practices.

Essential Selection Criteria

Relevant current industry recognised qualifications and licences in:
- Completed Trade Certificate as a Heavy Vehicle Plant Mechanic with a MVRIC Licence and Metal Trades Certificate or equivalent
- HR Drivers Licence
- NSW Construction Induction White Card
- Hold an RTA Examiners Licence (Heavy and Light Vehicles) or willing to obtain within three months.
Demonstrated experience and a high level of technical skill in the maintenance of vehicles, plant and equipment.
Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team, communicate effectively and to lead the team as tasks and projects demand particular acquired skills.
The appropriate level of physical fitness demanded by the physical nature of the tasks of the position.
Ability to work with limited supervision, plan, schedule and prioritise daily work activities.
Demonstrated understanding of Work Health and Safety principles.
Desirable Selection Criteria

Relevant current industry recognised qualifications and licences in:
- Class HC Driver's Licence
- Confined Spaces
- Working Near Overhead Powerlines
- Working at Heights
Assist with the training of customers in the safe operation of plant and equipment and daily maintenance program.
