The School of Earth and Environmental Sciences is globally recognised for the quality and impact of its research, teaching and contribution to Community. The School is one of the most research active academic units in Australia for Earth, Environmental and Archaeological Sciences and is a growing global force.
We provide technical support to approximately 80 registered spatial projects across the University - approximately three quarters of these are postgraduate research projects (Masters, Honours and PhDs) within the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences. Projects are also supported from the Schools of Biology, Health and Society and Electrical, Computer and Telecommunications Engineering. The Spatial Analysis Laboratory hosts a suite of computers that run software for processing geographical information, such as ESRI ArcGIS and ENVI image processing software for which data and analytical support are provided.
