Senior Helpers Ryde is a locally based home care provider, providing personal care and companionship care to those in the Aged Care and Disability community. We help improve the quality of life for our clients and their families and assist our clients to remain in their own homes.
Essential requirements for the role of Home Care Worker
•Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability or Community Support
•Current National Police Certificate
•Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
•Current First Aid Certificate
•Current drivers licence
•Access to a car
•Availability 2-3 Weekdays per week
•2-3 work related references
•Good command of written and spoken English (multi-lingual speakers are also encouraged to apply)
Duties and Responsibilities of Home Care Worker
•bathing/showering and dressing assistance
•meal planning and preparation
•cleaning, laundering, ironing and light household duties
•companionship and conversation
•transportation to medical appointments and shopping assistance
The ability to communicate both verbally with the client and to document activities in the Client Care Record are an essential part of this role.
