Newcastle City Council currently is seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced candidates to join the Civil Works team. Leveraging from your previous experience you will positively contribute to the construction and maintenance of civil infrastructure and other municipal works. The role requires you to be to execute instructions and work well in a team environment, in order to maximise productivity and meet nominated time frames.
To be successful in this job you will have:
Previous experience in civil infrastructure and municipal works.
General WH&S; Induction Training for Construction Industry (White Card).
Working knowledge of relevant Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
Current Traffic Controller – Blue card (or willingness and ability to secure accreditation prior to commencement)
Current Class C manual drivers licence.
Ability to work in a team based environment and perform allocated duties with minimal supervision.
Ability to accept, interpret and action verbal and written instruction.
Literacy and numeracy skills adequate to meet the requirements of the position.
