We are seeking an experienced Subdivision and Development Engineer to provide professional engineering advice. You will be responsible for assessing and managing the development of new subdivisions as well as assisting in the Development Application determination process.
Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Demonstrated post graduate experience in Engineering
Good interpersonal and communication/writing skills
An understanding of the EP&A Act, Local Government Act and Roads Act
Ability to work as part of a team and a commitment to customer service
Demonstrated initiative and an innovative approach to tasks
Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of software
Current drivers license (Class C)
Experience in the assessment of development applications
Experience in Local Government
Supervisory experience including contract administration/supervision of contractors
Experience in Civil design (road & drainage)
Ability to use WBNM, ILSAX/DRAINS and HEC-RAS
This is a full time position and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government State Award, relevant legislation and Council's policies and procedures.
The position is Grade 17 under Council's salary system with a salary up to $1440.98 per week. A motor vehicle allowance or a fully maintained leaseback vehicle in accordance with Council's motor vehicle policy may be offered.
