24 hour program

Southern Cross is looking for reliable. flexible Support Workers, who will join a newly formed team that provides 24 hour care for a young adult male who has a Spinal Injury (SCI) and is ventilator dependent and will ultimately be living in the family home in Stanwell Tops.
Extensive hospital based training will be provided. Initial training & services provided at Wollongong Hospital before transitioning to his home in the coming months.
This young male loves music, footy and enjoys a great sense of humour so would suit workers who are interested in the same.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Full assistance personal care (two workers)
Management of ventilation and tracheostomy - Formal training provided
Community access via modified vehicle
Shifts: Various shifts available
7am to 3.15pm
3pm to 10pm
9pm to 9am Active overnights
Must be available for Holiday and sick relief of other team members
Minimum 6 months full time experience providing care
NSW Drivers License and willingness to drive a modified van
Flexibility to assist with relief ?
Caring for someone with a Spinal Injury and/or ventilator experience
Successful applicant will undergo a National Criminal Record check and must obtain a Working with Children clearance.
