This position, located at the Defence Base in Watsons Bay NSW, will see you performing preventative and correctional maintenance of simulation systems and requires you to have sound PC knowledge in fault finding, Windows NT, 2000, XP, Server 2003 and networking.
As part of the support team to the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), you will also be required to:
• Support the Bridge Simulator
• Fault diagnosis of electronic systems and audio equipment
• Log and analyse system defects
• Report availability of equipment to training staff
You will be expected to have:
• Excellent communication skills as you will be required to communicate with the RAN
• Understand issues with the PC`s and network systems.
• Completed, or partially completed a Diploma in Electronics, Information Systems or Computer Networking.
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to satisfy eligibility requirements to be granted a Commonwealth Defence security clearance. You will also need to have a flexible approach to working hours during extensive training periods throughout the year.
