Location: Illawarra Sports High School

Illawarra Sports High School is a designated specialist sports high school (enrolment 702 students, with 15% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, and four Autism Support Classes). The school draws the majority of its students from the southern Wollongong suburbs, but enrols an increasing number of students from the larger Illawarra area who access specialist sports programs. The school offers a broadly based comprehensive curriculum from Years 7 – 12 and has an established reputation for academic, cultural and sporting success.
Primary purpose of the role
Providing school wide support for Information and Communication Technology systems to ensure smooth day to day operation. Supporting users with ICT as required.

School Operations and Performance Division
School Operations and Performance Division leads and directs the operations of more than 2200 NSW
public schools to maximise the academic achievements of all students and create a culture of success,
learning and a desire to achieve, underpinned by innovative, adaptive and supportive strategies that also
supports the quality of teaching and educational leadership at the school level. The division is responsible
for managing policy, strategies and operations that support principals, teachers and students in preschools,
infants, primary, secondary, central and community schools, specialist and comprehensive schools, specific
purpose schools, intensive English and environmental education centres. The overarching goal of School
Operations and Performance Division is to achieve the best possible outcomes for the students in our
public schools from preschool to year 12.

Key accountabilities
• Ensure that technology systems within the school are functioning to the expected level
• Support teachers and students with technology related issues as needed
• Ensure that foundational ICT services at school are operating at agreed levels
• Maintain accurate records of ICT equipment and manage issues relating to non-functioning equipment
• Work with other ICT Support staff to ensure seamless delivery of new services and technology to
