Do you have an understanding of CAD Design, Modelling and Visulation?

Council is seeking a highly motivated person to provide technical services and support for software applications used for design, modelling and visualisation of infrastructure works and projects. In this role you will develop 3D models for inclusion in Council's City Centre model.

We are looking for a proactive individual with experience in supporting and administering 2D and 3D CAD, modelling, visualisation and design software and technology. Experience in the presentation of infrastructure-related projects to clients, would be an advantage. You will be a great communicator and have a strong interest in the technology platforms that are relevant to these activities, and will be working closely with users and our IT team to support and improve the use of this technology within the organisation.

Essential Selection Criteria:

Technical qualifications and training in field(s) relevant to Infrastructure-related computer aided design, modelling and visualisation softwares and/or information technology.
Demonstrated workplace experience relevant to this position.
Demonstrated strong diagnostic and problem solving skills.
Keen interest in new technologies and willingness to learn and apply them.
Demonstrated knowledge of Infrastructure-related design software and technologies, and related data management and archival.
Demonstrated understanding of spatial data and its integration with CAD and 3D modelling.
Good understanding of computer-based design, 3D modelling and visualisation technologies, and related data formats.
Working understanding of Microsoft desktop and network systems, hardware and software configuration, current communications and mobile computing technologies, and general computer troubleshooting.
Demonstrated understanding of computer programming methods and principles.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team at a minimal level of supervision.
Ability to focus on customer needs in all situations.
Demonstrated understanding of Work Health and Safety principles.
Possess an understanding and commitment to quality assurance principles and methods.
Desirable Selection Criteria:

Experience in administration and support for software packages and networked systems, and working with software and technology support and maintenance contracts.
Working understanding of website publishing and on-line services technologies and development.
