SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
WorkingMouse (workingmouse.com.au) is a startup in Brisbane, Australia. We are currently seeking 2 software developers to join our expanding team.
Our software development methodology is scrum-based with a lean flavour. We use build-measure-learn cycles and encourage our developers to approach their work with an entrepreneurial attitude. This means that building software is not just about punching out code but deeply understanding the customers journey and helping them achieve their goals.
The company culture is a young, vibrant atmosphere. We have developers with 20+ years experience, undergraduates learning the ropes, and all sorts of experience in between. We believe that all of our team are on a journey and we respect developers that can admit the limitations of what they know. We can then work as a team and help each other expand our knowledge. The current company size is 35.
The technology stack we use is mostly from the open-source source community. The server-side is LAMP and the clients-side is a JavaScript MVC framework. However, our intellectual property are software bots that generate code. We deliver software solutions that typically have 10+ million lines of code whereby an average of 90% is written by the bots. This is cutting edge technology and will change the way you think software can be built. So, if you are up for a challenge this is the role for you.
The successful candidate will be a quick learner and have an enthusiastic attitude. You will be leading a project group of 3 people. Everyday we have a new challenge that requires good problem solving skills. After joining the company, you will do a 2 week structured learning guide that will cover the core technologies used at WorkingMouse. From that point, you will begin working on projects.
The key software development experience we will be looking for is a JavaScript MVC framework. We have a UX team that is proficient in CSS and design. Experience in any of the following (or similar) technologies is an advantage:
