About the role
This role is responsible for providing strategic and investigative technical support to the complex Claims matters. This role is a Senior claims specialist role, with a focus on the investigations and interventions on highly complex or contentious claims across the portfolio of claims within the ANZ Wealth Claims team. Day to day responsibilities of the role include conducting technical claim file reviews on targeted claim files to ensure actions adequately address issues and actively drive desired claim durations. This role will act as a mentor to all assessors and technical resources, providing coaching on all aspects of claims management and reviews, identifying gaps in skills and working with training co-ordinator to ensure additional training needs are addressed, more broadly, as required.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Extensive Life Claims experience assessing Retail and or Group claims.
Exposure to litigation matters or involvement in claims mediation processes. Including FOS & SCT matters.
Claims investigations expertise including previous experience in the identification of valid and non-legitimate claims.
Strong financial acumen and previous specialist experience in a dispute resolution claims environment.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including the ability to write complex case notes.
