Responsibilities

The Senior Payroll/Finance Officer supports the day to day operations of the payroll processing team through the provision of system and process analysis and reporting aimed at the continuous improvement of payroll services. The role is the key point of liaison between the payroll function and the financial reporting function for the Agency. The role leads a small team that is responsible for the integrity of the payroll related transactions in the financial reporting system.

The role manages the reconciliation of payroll and finance related postings to the general ledger, ensuring all employee provisions are accurately represented in the financial reports; all payroll related deductions are released accurately and in a timely manner; coordinates testing and upgrades for the SAP System; and ensures audit and business user reports are developed and released to the requesting party within agreed time frames.
