Position Summary

Please note, each position is up to 1 FTE and based at the following units/locations:
Wollongong Mental Health Adult Inpatient Unit
Mirrabook Adult Inpatient Unit at Shellharbour Hospital
Eloura Adult Inpatient Unit at Shellharbour Hospital
Nowra Adult Sub-Acute (Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital) and Nowra Community Mental Health.
The successful candidates may be required to work in any of the Mental Health Community teams within the Mental Health Service in the District.
**Applicants who are expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within six months or overseas trained Psychiatrists may apply under Area of Need. **

The Staff Specialist will provide expert medical assessment and management of patients within the Mental Health Unit. The position will be primarily located at Wollongong, Shellharbour, Nowra Community Health Service and Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital but may be varied as agreed with the Director of Clinical Services and as approved by the Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee (MDAAC) to other facilities in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD).
