ASSET MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR

An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated self-starter to join Council as an Asset Management Coordinator (Social Infrastructure Coordinator). The position will report directly to the Social Infrastructure & Planning Unit Manager.

Shoalhaven City Council is located on the South Coast of New South Wales, approximately 150km South of Sydney and 75km South of Wollongong. The Shoalhaven offers a range of activities, services and amenities including 5 star restaurants in Berry, Jervis Bay and Ulladulla.

The focus of the position will be the project management and asset management of Council’s Social Infrastructure portfolio which includes but not limited to parks, playgrounds, sportsgrounds, halls, Arts and community buildings, libraries, aquatic and leisure centres.

The successful candidate will possess:

Tertiary qualifications or equivalent certificate in Asset Management or related field
Three (3) years’ experience in asset planning and delivery of asset programs
Capacity to build co-operation within and between units/teams within Council to coordinate the delivery of services that contribute to outcomes for the community.
Demonstrated ability to prepare long term asset funding plans, prepare budget submissions and oversee delivery of works
Demonstrated understanding of asset management principles and practices
Demonstrated ability to analyse, plan and priorities delivery of asset improvement / planned preventative maintenance programs.
