COMMUNICATIONS & PARTNERSHIPS OFFICER

As part of the Media & Corporate Communications Unit, the Communications and Partnerships Officer will:
Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of engagement, marketing and promotion opportunities that support the Local Health District in engaging with local stakeholders and the community.
Help establish opportunities to build the ISLHD brand within the community, promote services and develop fundraising initiatives as well as deliver educational and promotional materials using a range of platforms.
Be involved in the preparation of events, campaigns, special projects and assist in routine media enquiries.

Part-time hours may be considered.

1. Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in marketing, communications or community relations with at least three years relevant industry experience.

2. Proven experience in community engagement and/or the development and delivery of community consultation programs.

3. Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively liaise with people at all levels.

4. Broad knowledge and proven application of internal and external communication tools and techniques.

5. Demonstrated high-level experience in the development of marketing and fundraising campaigns.

6. High level organisational and time management skills with an ability to manage a number of projects with competing deadlines.

7. Excellent writing skills and knowledge of varied communication processes.

8. Experience in media liaison and issues management.
