The Wollongong Hospital Midwifery Educator 2 is responsible for the planning and development of education and training programs for maternity services at Wollongong Hospital. These programs will serve to facilitate the development of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, culminating in the provision of quality patient care

The Midwifery Educator will also be responsible for the co-ordination of undergraduate midwifery clinical placements through ClinConnect, Post Graduate Midwifery recruitment through MidStart and the Transition to Practice for newly graduated registered midwives across the District.

The position will be responsible for ensuring co-ordination with other maternity sites within the District for mandatory training such as FONT etc.

The midwifery educator will work closely with the Clinical Midwifery Educators and Clinical Midwifery Specialists with implementation, education review of relevant Policy and Procedures relating to clinical practice at the site.
