The Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences (EIS) is one of the leading Engineering Faculties in Asia Pacific and a member of the prestigious Group of Eight Engineering Associates, with an outstanding global reputation for research and industry collaboration.
The Faculty is exceptionally pro-active in engaging with industry and government. We are the recipients of many long term, major R&D; grants from industry as well a founding partner and home to many multi-million dollar, internationally-known, research and training centres. This strong engagement with industry also results in exceptionally relevant and modern courses for the 6,000 students across the Faculty. We are proud of our innovative approaches to learning and teaching that have delivered both the highest graduate employment rate and the highest rating in Australia for most teaching and student experience KPI’s, as measured by external authorities.
The Executive Dean reports directly to the Vice-Chancellor with the ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the strategic leadership, operation and management of the Faculty; including continually developing the Faculty governance and school structure to deliver on the University’s goals.
