Responsibilities
Work closely with designers and product managers to deliver Canva’s iOS offering
Create and ship high quality code that gets used by millions of people all over the world
Participate in design and code reviews; contribute to the look and feel of the iOS application
Engage in in-depth technically and product design discussions with the team
Identify and address performance bottlenecks – with passion for performance debugging and benchmarking
Collaborate with other team members to determine the best solutions to difficult engineering and user experience problems.
Requirements
Demonstrated iOS application development experience
Deep knowledge of native iOS architecture, frameworks, and the Xcode IDE
Strong knowledge of Swift is preferred, experience with Objective-C is a bonus
Be comfortable working with a wide range of development tools in an Agile environment
Strong Computer Science / Software Engineering fundamentals
Excellent problem solving skills, with a creative and analytic mind
It’s beneficial if you have knowledge of UI frameworks (storyboards or UIKit), MVP application design, and complex touch based UI
Exposure to large, complex, highly-scalable environments hosted on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
