The CNS2 in Oncology will provide specialist clinical care to patients who have identified individual needs related to their cancer treatment pathway. They will undertake a comprehensive assessment and management of patients with the Shoalhaven Oncology Day Unit/Radiotherapy Unit to support and manage this group of patients. The CNS2 will provide a service in consultation with the relevant multidisciplinary teams, Cancer Nurse Coordinator’s (CNC’s) and Nurse Practitioner (Shoalhaven) and contribute their advanced professional knowledge toward the planning and implementation of high quality cancer care, to ensure safe management of this patient group. This will include consideration of care requirements for these patients as well as admission avoidance initiatives.
With the expansion of the Shoalhaven Cancer Centre, it has an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic and motivated team. The Cancer Care Coordinator CNS2 will have experience and skills in cancer care and be able to apply these skills to the management and care of patients coming through the Shoalhaven Cancer Care Centre.
The CNS2 will carry a portfolio and provide a service in consultation with the relevant multidisciplinary teams, Cancer Care Coordinator CNC’s, NP and other nursing staff.

Selection Criteria
1. Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA). Holds a current driving licence. 2. Post Graduate Qualification in Oncology Nursing with at least three years experience working in the clinical area of their specified post graduate qualification. 3. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, including the ability to make decisions autonomously and to problem solve effectively within the scope of their clinical practice. 4. Demonstrated ability to provide expert clinical care to Cancer patients using advanced clinical skills. 5. Demonstrated high level written and communication skills with associated interpersonal skills. 6. Demonstrated understanding of quality management principles and the ability to coordinate quality projects to effect improvements in patient care. 7. Ability to demonstrate clinical leadership within the clinical setting in the management of own clinical workload and patient care, and demonstrates an understanding of the change management process to effect improvements in clinical service delivery. 8. Effective computer skills, and experience with ISLHD electronic health management systems and demonstrated experience in delivery of clinical education.
