About the Company
Flower Power is a proudly family owned and run chain of garden centres of Sydney. From a single modest nursery, Flower Power has grown to innovate and challenge the industry to become the largest Garden Centre chain in Australia with growing, wholesale, importing, bagging and garden maintenance operations.
About the Role
This position is an apprenticeship, in which you will be undertaking a Certificate III in Retail Nursery over 3 years. During this time, you will be working Monday to Friday, minimum of 38 hours per week.
Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
• Plant maintenance
• Ensuring plants and products are properly watered and fertilised
• Weeding and potting
• Creating and organising plant displays
• Providing customer service and product knowledge on plants and products in the store
• Operating cash registers at times
As part of the apprenticeship, you will be required to undertake TAFE studies, which are located at Padstow and Richmond locations only. The Certificate III Retail Nursery course includes subjects such as:
• Maintain nursery plants
• Install and maintain plant displays
• Identify plant specimens
• Control plant pests, diseases and disorders
• Coordinate visual merchandising activities
• Engage the customer

• Interest in working within a retail nursery environment
• Dedicated and committed to completing the apprenticeship
