TEMPORARY WEEKEND PHYSIOTHERAPIST – LEVEL 1/2

Purpose of Position
This position provides physiotherapy treatment to acute hospital inpatients in a ward setting, working within a multidisciplinary team. The position requires skills in a variety of clinical areas to work across the hospital. The position is based at TWH, but may be required to work at any site within the district. This position requires staff to be available at least 2 week days per year to complete mandatory training requirements.
This is a temporary part time 4hpw maternity relief position until 18 February 2021 with the possibility of an extension.

The successful applicant will be required to work 16 hours (i.e. 2 x 8 hour shifts) across one weekend, every 4 weeks.

Criminal record checks will be undertaken on successful applicants. This position is designated as child-related employment and you will be required to obtain a Working With Children clearance from the Office of the Children’s Guardian.

Selection Criteria
1. Current Physiotherapy Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). 2. Post graduate experience working in an acute hospital setting including critical care. 3. Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team. 4. A commitment to the delivery of quality service and ongoing professional development. 5. Demonstrated high-level written and oral communication skills, including sound computer skills (demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office and other Microsoft applications). 6. Knowledge and understanding of the application of evidence based practice to Allied Health. 7. Understanding of and demonstrated commitment to ISLHD CORE Values. 8. Current NSW Driver’s licence or equivalent.
