We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, innovative and motivated individual to join our team of business system professionals who are specifically engaged in business improvement projects across Council. The key function of this role is to collaborate with business units to define problems and identify opportunities for improving business processes, supporting the delivery and ongoing administration of quality ICT solutions. Essential Selection Criteria:

Tertiary qualification in the field of Business Information systems, Information Technology or a related area relevant to the position.
Demonstrated experience in analysing business information processes.
Demonstrated experience in the design, development, implementation and maintenance information systems and business process projects.
Proven ability to understand, interpret and document business processes and requirements, and relate these to the capabilities of supporting information systems in order to implement process improvement initiatives.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of individuals, together with proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities, meet deadlines and the capacity to contribute effectively both individually and as a member of a team. Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills along with experience in solution development and implementation in relation to technology and business processes.
A good understanding of fundamental technology and the operation of Business Information systems, data reporting analysis and integration between business systems.
Demonstrated ability to analyse, interpret and present data using reporting tools (eg SQL).
Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the needs of the customer are clearly understood and appropriate solutions are developed to meet these needs.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team situation to support corporate goals.
