The Uniting Church in Australia (UCA) Synod of NSW and the ACT, is one of the largest not for profit and religious organisations in Australia. Uniting Venues is part of Uniting Mission and Education and operates three venues across Sydney providing a range of accommodation and conference facilities for groups and individuals.
A new and exciting opportunity to join the Rise Above Outdoor Education Team is available. Rise Above is a newly developed, tailored program for primary and secondary school students aimed at building leadership, self-esteem and self-confidence during their developmental years. With no better classroom than the great outdoors, our venues provide a wonderful outdoor learning experience.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Program Coordinator to create, develop and coordinate the delivery of the Rise Above Program. Working closely with our venues staff, we require your input to take our programs to the next level.
You will be a trustworthy leader who is confident in educating and supporting young people. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to relate the ethos of the Uniting Church to the changing needs of young people and adults. A positive mental attitude and a love for outdoor adventures is a must.

You
With demonstrated experience in a similar role in the camp or outdoor recreation industry, or with adventure or experience based learning, along with qualifications in outdoor recreation you will have the opportunity to make this role your own. Active involvement in community or faith based youth work would be highly desirable.
Your commitment to outstanding customer service, excellence in activity facilitation and strong organisational and administration skills, combined with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills will stand you in good stead.
A sound understanding of current WHS legislation, a current NSW Drivers Licence, and at least intermediate skills and experience in Microsoft Office and Outlook, are essential.
This is a genuinely flexible, two day per week opportunity. Some after-hours events will be required on an ad hoc basis.
