CLINICAL SUPPORT OFFICER

FULL TIME

The CSO will provide timely and accurate administrative/transactional services for members of the health care team under the direction of the NUM. The CSO will work under broad supervision but will be required to take some independent action. Scope exists for exercising initiative in the application of established work practices and procedures. Decisions affecting the overall functioning and management of the ward/unit remain the responsibility of the NUM.

The roles and responsibilities of the CSO may include but are not limited to the following:

Data Entry and Reporting
Data entry for rosters into relevant IT system
Regularly update the roster in line with any approved changes ie sick leave, etc
Enter information onto HR IT system once approved
Where appropriate, participate in data entry activities that relate to patient care activities and support any member of the health care team
Provide assistance in producing reports on finance and quality parameters/indicators.

An eligibility list will be created for future Permanent Full-Time positions

1. Holds or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent.

2. Excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.

3. Demonstrated experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software.

4. Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

5. Demonstrated time management & conflict resolution skills.

6. Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment.

  • Certificate III in Health Administration
  • Communications Officer
  • Data Entry Operator
  • Manager – Database (Information System)
