REGISTERED NURSE – STATE WIDE MENTAL HEALTH TELEPHONE ACCESS LINE

The primary function of this position is to provide safe and effective telephone triage assessments to determine the most appropriate assistance that is required. This includes processing referrals and triages, providing support and information to carers and other treatment providers and linking prospective consumers to the most suitable Mental Health Service either within or outside the ISLHD.

1. Recognised qualification as a Registered Nurse with current full registration with AHPRA.

2. Demonstrated experience working in the Acute Mental Health setting conducting initial Mental Health assessements. Preferably with experience working on Intake /Triage phone lines.

3. Demonstrated ability to implement a range of clinical interventions in mental health in line with best practice guidelines.

4. Demonstrated commitment to service development and quality improvement principles.

5. Understanding of NSW Mental Health Act.

6. Current NSW driver’s licence.
