OPERATOR (ELECTRICAL) – DENDROBIUM COAL PREPARATION PLANT

Illawarra Coal is a long term and leading coking coal supplier which operates two underground metallurgical coal mines, two preparation plants and a logistics chain.
The Opportunity
Your main objective is maintaining and refurbishing all electrical equipment. You will carry out plant inspections and Co-ordinate job requirements for the plant in order to maintain overall equipment effectiveness within the maintenance strategy constraints to enable the plant to achieve quality and quantity targets.
What the Role Entails
• Rectify minor faults found during inspections
• Trouble shoot problems and initiate actions to solve
• Review work carried out by maintenance services
• Respond to plant breakdown call as required
• Maintain plant repairs to specific standards
• Compile and carry out inspections in accordance with established inspection procedures
• Enter all collected inspection data into computerised or manual data storage files
• Operational duties as required (shift role)
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess an Electrical Trade qualification including an understanding of PLCs and instrumentation with some basic knowledge of mechanics for plant diagnostic purposes.
You will have an understanding of the Coal Preparation and plant operations and effectiveness. You would have experience in using and understanding of the Material Supply spares system. You would be able to read and understand Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Electrical drawings.
