KITCHEN HAND / CERTIFICATE III EDUCATOR | CHILDCARE
The Opportunity
This lovely Centre located in St Leonards is a unique heritage cottage which has been creatively converted into a vibrant Childcare Centre. The Centre has a cosy feeling with 6 separate play areas, catering for 59 children per day. We are seeking a candidate with their Certificate III in Children’s Services to work most of the day as Kitchen Hand preparing the catered meals for the children’s morning tea and lunches. The remainder of the day will be spent on the floor helping with the children.

Responsibilities will include:
Preparing of morning and afternoon tea
Planning the meals for the children
Maintain a clean kitchen
General cleaning duties such as wash dishes, load an unload dishwasher
Empty rubbish bins
Following health and safety rules
Supervising the children
To be successful in this position you will have:
Certificate III in Childrens Services
A working with children check clearance
Experience working with children
Strong hygiene and food handling skills
Excellent communication skills
A hard-work ethic and flexible approach
