Salary from $98,166 up to $112,242 per annum plus superannuation
with an option of a motor vehicle equalisation allowance
or a lease for private use of a motor vehicle
A 3.5% civil liability allowance may also apply

Are you an experienced project manager looking for a challenge?

We have an exciting opportunity in our Major Projects team in the Project Delivery division. This position is responsible for the management and coordination of projects, of varying complexity, involving the construction of Council’s assets. Specifically, you will focus primarily on civil assets and implementing infrastructure at Council’s Waste Depot sites. You will also be responsible for the financial performance, safety, quality and environmental performance of all works undertaken. You will use your high level communication and negotiation skills to engage and work successfully with stakeholders.

Essential Selection Criteria:

Completed a Civil Engineering Degree.
Demonstrated experience in managing civil engineering projects from concept through to finalisation.
Demonstrated ability to plan the efficient and effective use of budgeted funds, having regards to cost effectiveness.
Proven ability to manage, develop and motivate staff.
Well developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Proven high level Project Management skills to develop, implement and manage capital projects.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects concurrently to meet deadlines and deliver identified outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement construction programs.
Proven track record to develop, implement, monitor and review WHS systems, policies and procedures.
Ability to apply total quality management principles and practices and the principles of Employment, Equity and Diversity.
Current Drivers Licence.

Desirable Selection Criteria:

Experience in the implementation of civil infrastructure in waste management facilities and depots.
