The Centre:

We are currently seeking a passionate, experienced OOSH Educator or Assistant Manager to step into the role of Assistant Centre Manager and work alongside the Centre Manager to assist in guiding the Educators in the day to day flow of the centre. This is a Vibrant non-profit service located on Sydney’s Upper Northern Beaches. The centre caters for 70 children in the mornings and 100 in the afternoons. 

Working hours 7:00am – 10:00am and 2:30pm – 6:30pm  with 3 additional hours during the week for administration (flexible)
Responsibilities:

The Assistant Centre manager is responsible for creating a happy, safe & professional environment for children and staff by:

• Maintaining a high quality standard of care and assisting the Centre Manager, supervising and motivating staff members
• Working closely with the Centre Manager in managing the day-to-day running of the centre including administration, planning, programming and accreditation preparation in line with the new regulations governing OOSH. 

Must Have: 

• Relevant Certificate III in OOSH or equivalent qualification (or willing to study if you do not have a qualification)
• Current First Aid and Anaphylaxis & Asthma Certificate 
• Children Protection Certificate & Working with Children Check
• At least 2 years’ experience working with children with a min of 1 years’ experience working with children ages 5-12 years in an OOSH environment
• Knowledge of NQF, QIP and the accreditation process 
• Advanced handwritten and oral skills
• Well-developed decision making, problem solving, planning and organisational skills
