COORDINATOR MAINTENANCE

Illawarra Coal is a long term and leading coking coal supplier which operates two underground metallurgical coal mines, two preparation plants and a logistics chain.
The Opportunity
Reporting to Superintendent Maintenance, the purpose of this Maintenance Coordinator role is to provide technical support and expertise for Dendrobium Mine.
What the Role Entails
Analyse equipment performance with a view to predicting and preventing unscheduled downtime;
Coordinate and own the maintenance execution cost centres, ensuring spend remains within budget/forecast guidance and provide variance commentary if actuals are outside of this guidance;
Identification of the need for change in people, processes, equipment, standards and procedures to enhance safety and performance;
Liaise directly with trades and operators regarding equipment performance to determine maintenance requirements and reliability issues to be addressed;
Preparation of an operating cost budget for maintenance based upon the mine schedule and equipment allocation;
Preparation of commercial schedules for the purchase, repair and capital purchases of plant and equipment;
Provide inputs and reviewing of equipment overhaul scopes of works;
Provide Manager Electrical Engineering coverage for operation.
About You
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Extensive experience in maintenance and operations with ability to provide technical guidance on integrated plans and schedules;
Manager of Electrical Engineering Certificate of Competence (NSW) is an essential requirement of the role;
Project management and planning skills;
Experience with Maintenance Management systems such as SAP;
Trade qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and / or Degree or Associate Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.

Illawarra Coal operations are located in the southern coalfields of New South Wales, near the city of Wollongong and approximately 75 kilometres south and southwest of Sydney.
