Do you have excellent customer service skills?

We are seeking to recruit Customer Service Officers for permanent full time and permanent part time roles. You will be required to provide outstanding Customer Service to the community in both our Communications Centre and face to face in the Customer Service Centre.

The position offers challenging responsibilities balanced with a workplace keen to invest in your ongoing development.

In addition the successful applicant will be required to:

Provide a high level of Customer Service and communicate efficiently and sensitively with internal and external customers
Demonstrate a commitment to Council’s Customer Service Policy, Charter and Feedback Handling Policy
Work co-operatively within a team environment to ensure the application of a customer-centred approach to service delivery
A relief list will be established from this recruitment. Additionally, an eligibility list may be established from this recruitment for future permanent and temporary employment opportunities

Essential Selection Criteria:

Extensive experience in the delivery of excellent Customer Service with a commitment to providing a high quality standard of service through the provision of information in a high volume and highly demanding environment.
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including the ability to influence and resolve issues with people at all levels, backgrounds and cultures whilst remaining calm and professional.
Ability to develop constructive working relationships in a professional manner to a diverse range of people including internal and external customers.
Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a team environment to achieve outcomes.
An understanding of how Customer Service Policies influence the delivery of excellence in customer service.
Proven initiative and problem solving approach to resolving and referring enquiries.
Experience in the use of technology in a Customer Service environment.
Demonstrated understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles.
