REGISTERED NURSE MENTAL HEALTH – ADOLESCENT DAY UNIT
Purpose of Position
Key functions include assessment, care co-ordination and case management of a range of mental health issues within a multidisciplinary team. There are strong working relationships with cross sector service providers, stakeholders and partner organisations. There is a focus on delivering evidence based clinical interventions within best practice models of care to achieve good clinical outcomes for young people and their families. Key strategies include school reintegration, facilitation of groups and other activities and promoting community engagement for young people.

Selection Criteria
1. Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse. 2. Relevant experience in the provision of community clinical mental health services. 3. Relevant experience in working with young people and/or families. 4. Demonstrated ability to implement a range of clinical interventions in mental health in line with best practice. 5. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. 6. Current C class driver’s licence or equivalent.
