CATERING & EVENT OPERATIONS ASSISTANT
We have a fantastic opportunity for a ‘hands on’ Catering & Event Operations assistant. Flavours Catering and Events is a gold licence premier catering company servicing the Sydney CBD and greater Sydney area for corporate and private event catering. Our main production kitchen and head office is located in Artarmon and we cater for events across Sydney.
As a Catering / Event opertaions assistant you will be the face of the company when onsite at events, ensuring a high standard of service, presentation and customer service is maintained. You will have excellent personal grooming and the ability to take the lead at functions whilst being personable and offering a friendly professional approach. You will need to have a flair for food presentation and displays.
The ideal candidate we are looking for is looking for a work life balance. This position offers a varied roster, working mainly day shifts, although night shifts are required when events require. This role offers 35 to 50 hours per week and concists of both working onsite at events and also assisting with catering deliveries and kitchen operations. Mainly Sunday – Monday off.
Qualities and experience we seek are:
• Minimum 1 years experience in a catering / events
• Full knowledge of food and beverage service
• A flair for food presentation
• Above average communications skills with team members, ownership and guests
• Able and comfortable to work at functions alone or as part of a team
• Ability to drive a service excellence with a keen eye for details
• Energetic, motivated and career driven
• Reliable and flexible
• Organised, able to work to production and event schedules
• Must have a valid and current drivers licence
• Must have own transport as early starts and late finishes are required
